Interview with Alexes and some party infos

Hi all!

So the blog has changed a bit. From now on, it will focus mainly on hard dance & ebm etc. Why? Because there are so many other forums and blogs dedicated for trance, house and so on, but not many for hard dance and dark synth sounds. Why create the 100th blog for same genre everybody else is blogging of, when I can focus on stuff that not that many write of.

First up Interview with Alexes a newcomer on the scene making big waves already! Translated from finnish for your enjoyment

1, You are one of the rising stars of finnish scene and making big waves on scene. You've made your own tracks, for example for the Q Base competition. What got you started?

My friend borrowed me his mp3 player that had varied selection of electronic music (in 2007) and then while browsing, I wound up on a artist called RTC (Rotterdam Terror Corps). I thought it was pretty cool music. I kept browsing forward and discovered track called ”Marlboro Man – Noisecontrollers” that woke my interest in harder electonic music, especially for hardstyle and it didn't take long when I got interested in producing my own music.

2.Why hardstyle?

Rather than just the music, but the whole communal culture around it is impressive. For me hardstyle in musical sensse everything is well-balanced and no other sound just hasn't hit me as hard as hardstyle did.

3.What are your expectations of your Fury gig?

That the atmosphere would be on the roof from the beginning. I'm looking forward to a lot of the set too since it is my biggest gig so far and from my perspective it is impressive.

4.Do djs need to also be producers to get noticed and to break into scene?

Not necessarily, but in my opinion it is most ethical solution, where you just don't ride on the other people's work. Fame and respect have difference like night and day in the scene after all, eventhough in optimal situation do go hand-in-hand.

What can we expect from you in the future and where can we catch you?
